Feng Shui
Harmonising spaces for a balanced life.
An ancient Chinese practice with roots stretching back over five millennia, Feng Shui aligns environments with natural energies to promote wellbeing and success. Originally called Kan Yu — the observation of cosmic and earthly interplay — it has evolved into a refined system for harmony and opportunity.
Before we begin
What the classics record, and what the market repeats
Feng Shui has five thousand years of literature behind it, and a modern industry that largely ignores it.
Much of what circulates today — lucky colours, furniture rules, objects you are told to buy and place — appears nowhere in the classical texts. It was invented recently, and it sells well.
What we practise comes from the source material: reading the land, the building, its orientation, the period it sits in, and the people who live or work inside it.
An audit will never be
- A shopping list of objects to buy
- A colour scheme
- A promise that nothing will go wrong
- Advice given without seeing the space and the charts
The essence of Qi
Two forces move through every space
Central to Feng Shui is Qi, the vital energy flowing through all things, linking people, spaces, and the universe. By understanding and directing it, practitioners create environments that support positive outcomes.
Sheng Qi
A nurturing, vibrant force. Sheng Qi supports growth, opportunity, and positive outcomes for everyone who moves through a space.
Sha Qi
A disruptive, stagnant energy. Left unaddressed, Sha Qi works against occupants — Feng Shui identifies it and redirects it.
How it works
Four elements shape every reading
Landscape
Rivers, hills, and terrain shape how Qi gathers and flows. A well-positioned environment channels beneficial energy toward vitality and prosperity.
Structure
The architecture and layout of a building influence how Qi moves within it. Thoughtful design keeps spaces functional and energetically balanced.
Timing
Celestial cycles — the movement of stars and planets — impact a space’s energy. Aligning actions with these cycles optimises outcomes.
Individuals
Each person’s unique energy interacts with their environment. Feng Shui customises spaces to resonate with personal goals.
Using precise calculations and the interplay of the five elements — Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water — a reading works out what a space is doing to the people inside it, and what can usefully be changed.
On art and objects
Art does affect a space. A piece you already love can sit well or badly in a room, and which wall it hangs on matters. If you are bringing art in, we will tell you which position suits its elements, and select the date and time to drill the wall.
What we will not do is tell you that buying something will fix your business.
How a reading is done
Three systems, each answering something different
Most readings draw on more than one. Which ones depends on what you are trying to decide.
Flying Star
How a building’s energy shifts over time. Why a home or shop that worked for years stops working, and which sectors are carrying the problem now.
Eight Mansions
The fit between a specific person and a specific space — which directions support them, and where they should sleep, sit and work.
Qi Men Dun Jia
Timing. When to move, renovate, open or sign — and when to wait.
The five arts of Chinese metaphysics
One holistic framework, five disciplines
Feng Shui is one expression of Wu Shu, the Five Arts of Chinese Metaphysics. Together, Divination, Medicine, Mountain, Physiognomy, and Life offer interconnected pathways to align individuals with the rhythms of the universe.
Divination — foreseeing the future
Numerical patterns, celestial alignments, and precise timing guide decisions. The Yi Jing and Qi Men Dun Jia — the system behind strategies in Sun Tzu’s The Art of War — remain foundations for strategic insight.
Medicine — restoring vitality
Health as a balance of the body’s core systems, aligned with the Five Elements. Acupuncture, herbal remedies, and traditional Chinese medicine restore physical and emotional equilibrium.
Mountain — cultivating body and spirit
Martial arts, Tai Chi, and Qi Gong bridge humanity and nature, building physical strength, mental clarity, and spiritual growth through self-cultivation.
Physiognomy — reading forms and spaces
The energy of forms, from facial features to environmental layouts. Feng Shui is its most renowned practice; face reading and palmistry reveal personal character and potential.
Life — mapping destiny
Destiny analysis through the Four Pillars of Destiny and Purple Star Astrology (Zi Wei Dou Shu), charting a life’s possibilities for career, relationships, and personal development.

Choosing the site before the lease is signed
A restaurant group on a steady expansion cycle. Before they commit to a location, they bring us in to assess the shortlist — how each site sits against the surrounding roads, water and terrain, and which one supports the kind of trade they are after.
Once a site is chosen, we work alongside their interior designer while the layout is still on paper: entrance position, seating flow, kitchen placement, where the till sits.
Eight openings in two years, and the assessment has come before the signature every time. Changing a layout on a drawing costs nothing. Changing it after the fit-out costs a renovation.
When the building is working against the people in it
Persistent staff turnover, and operations that never quite ran smoothly. Problems like these get treated as management failures and answered with management solutions.
We relocated the office and recalibrated the Feng Shui of the factory floor.
Within the first year the day-to-day friction dropped and production doubled. Sales rose, and suppliers improved their payment terms — neither of which was on the brief.

Common questions
Feng Shui, answered simply
What is Feng Shui, really?
Feng Shui is the practice of understanding Qi — the vital energy that flows through every space — and directing it toward outcomes that support the people who live or work there. It considers landscape, structure, timing, and the individual together, not any one of these alone.
Is Feng Shui only for homes, or can it help a business too?
Both. Feng Shui is used to design offices that attract clients, and Divination is used to time business launches for more auspicious outcomes, alongside its traditional use in homes.
What’s the difference between good and bad energy in a space?
Sheng Qi is a nurturing, vibrant force that supports growth and opportunity. Sha Qi is disruptive and stagnant — left unaddressed, it works against the people in that space. Feng Shui identifies which is present and redirects it.
What are the Five Arts of Chinese Metaphysics?
Feng Shui is one of five interconnected disciplines: Divination (foreseeing the future), Medicine (restoring vitality), Mountain (cultivating body and spirit), Physiognomy (reading forms and spaces — Feng Shui is its most renowned practice), and Life (mapping destiny).
Can Feng Shui really help with timing big decisions?
Yes — this falls under Divination, which uses celestial alignments and precise timing to guide decisions like when to launch a business, start a job search, or make a major move.
Should I book a Feng Shui consultation before or after buying a property?
Before, if possible. Once a property is purchased, the ability to correct poor positioning, layout, or timing is far more limited — you’re working within what the space already is. Booking a consultation while you’re still deciding lets Feng Shui genuinely shape the decision, not just respond to it afterward.
How can I tell a genuine Feng Shui practitioner from someone who isn’t credible?
Look for someone who can explain why a recommendation works, grounded in an actual framework — not just handed to you as a rule to follow. Aeros’s approach draws on the Five Arts of Chinese Metaphysics and real methodology — Qi, the Four Core Elements, structured analysis — not one-size-fits-all fixes or items sold as instant cures.
Does Feng Shui guarantee results, or fix every problem?
No practice can guarantee outcomes, and Feng Shui works alongside your own decisions and effort — not in place of them. What it offers is a clearer, more supportive environment to work from. Aeros’s approach considers landscape, structure, timing, and you as an individual together, since no single factor tells the whole story.
What does a consultation cost?
It depends on the size of the property and the depth of the work — a two-bedroom apartment and a factory floor are not the same job, and pricing reflects that. You will have a firm quote before anything begins. The first conversation, where we work out whether this is even the right service for you, costs nothing.
