Does Feng Shui Work Remotely, or Do You Need to Be On-Site?
Remote consultations are a normal part of the practice, with on-site preferred where the location allows. Here is how it works.
Yes, feng shui and metaphysics consultations can be done remotely, and they are a normal part of the practice. Chart-based work — BaZi readings, date selection, name selection — is fully remote by nature, since it only needs the relevant birth details. A feng shui or space audit can also be done remotely, working from the floor plan, orientation readings, and photos. On-site is preferred where the location allows, because standing in the space gives the most direct reading, but distance is not a barrier to accurate work.
Chart work is fully remote
BaZi analysis, date selection, and name design are read from a person’s birth details and the relevant dates. There is nothing physical to visit. These are done remotely as a matter of course, whether the client is in Kuala Lumpur or another country. The reading is the same regardless of where either person is.
A space audit can be done remotely too
A feng shui audit reads a physical space, so on-site is the natural default. But when an on-site visit is not practical, because the client is overseas or the timing does not allow it, the same audit can be done remotely, provided the right information is supplied.
For a remote space consultation, you would provide:
- The floor plan or layout. The starting point for reading how the space is arranged.
- Compass or orientation readings. The building’s facing direction, which is central to the analysis.
- Photos and video of the space. So the actual condition, flow, and surroundings can be seen, not just the plan.
- Measurements. Accurate dimensions where they matter.
- Birth details of the people. So the space can be read against the people who use it, not in isolation.
With those in hand, the audit produces the same kind of specific, written recommendations as an on-site visit.
Remote is normal, and on-site is preferred where the location allows. Standing in a space reveals things a plan and photos cannot always capture: the feel of the flow, the surroundings, and details that only show up in person.
Where an on-site visit is practical, it is the default. Where it is not, a properly prepared remote audit does the job.
What this means for clients abroad
Since clients come from many countries, remote work is built into how the practice runs. Being in another city or another country does not put a consultation out of reach. Chart work proceeds exactly as it would locally, and a space audit proceeds once the floor plan, orientation, photos, and measurements are provided.
Whether you are down the road or in another country, a consultation is within reach. For chart work, all that is needed is the relevant details; for a space audit, the floor plan and orientation get it started. If you are not sure which applies to your situation, a short conversation will sort it out.
