What we collect
When you use the enquiry form. Your name, email address, phone number, country, the service you are asking about, and whatever you write in the message field. These go by email to [email protected].
When you engage us. To do the work we usually need birth date, time and place; and for a property audit, floor plans, addresses and photographs. You send these directly to us — the website does not store them.
Automatically. Standard website analytics through Google Analytics: pages viewed, roughly where in the world you are, what device and browser you used, and how you arrived. This is not tied to your name.
Why we collect it
To reply to you, to prepare properly before a consultation, and to see which pages are useful so the site can be improved. Nothing else. We do not use your details for advertising and we do not build profiles for marketing.
Who else sees it
We do not sell your information and we do not share it with third parties for their own use.
Two services process data on our behalf in the ordinary running of the site: Google Analytics, for the usage statistics described above, and our website host and email provider, who necessarily handle messages sent through the form.
Consultation material stays confidential
What you tell us in a consultation is not shared, published, or used as an example without your agreement — including the fact that you are a client. Where we publish a case study, it is with the client’s permission and the business is not named. If you would prefer that in writing before we begin, we are glad to sign a mutual confidentiality agreement.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become work are kept while there is a reasonable chance of a reply and then deleted. Records of actual engagements are kept for as long as we may need them for follow-up work or to meet Malaysian tax and company record-keeping requirements. You can ask us to delete your details sooner.
Cookies
The site uses cookies for two purposes: to make pages load faster (our caching plugin) and for the analytics described above. Nothing on this site requires you to accept marketing cookies, and we do not run advertising trackers. You can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time; the site will still work.
Your rights under Malaysian law
Under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 you may ask us to show you the personal data we hold about you, correct anything inaccurate, stop using it for a particular purpose, or withdraw a consent you previously gave. Write to [email protected] and we will respond. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Personal Data Protection Commissioner of Malaysia.
